Smartwings to resume daily scheduled flights to Dubai

Air carrier Smartwings has been expanding its presence at Prague airport, offering flights to nearly 60 destinations. As of October 20, Smartwings will resume direct flights from Prague to Dubai, UAE. The line will be operated very day under the winter flight schedule.

Scheduled flights between Prague and Dubai will be operated every day with departure from Prague at 9:15 and arrival in Dubai at 18:25 local time. Flights from Dubai to Prague will depart at 19:30 local time and arrive at 23:20.

“We have seen an increased demand for our services, which is why we continue expanding our portfolio. United Arab Emirates and Dubai in particular are highly popular destinations. Smartwings offers very attractive departure times from both Prague and Dubai, which will be appreciated not only by passengers flying to Dubai as their final destination but also those who transfer to other flights from Dubai to travel to Asia, Africa, or Australia,” says Peter Šujan, Business Director, Smartwings.

Smartwings expects the number of its passengers to/from Prague to exceed 280 thousand in July alone, with another nearly 100 thousand flying to/from Brno and Ostrava.

Smartwings operates flights not only from the Czech Republic but also from its hubs in Poland, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Canary Islands. As of October, Smartwings will newly provide air transport services from ten airports in Germany and Switzerland to the Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura) and to Greece (Crete, Rhodes) for German travel agencies. 

Besides scheduled and charter flights, Smartwings provides a wide range of special flights for international sports clubs and major organizations worldwide. Recently, Romanian athletes used Smartwings’ services to fly to Tokyo, Japan, for the Olympic Games.

Further expansion of the portfolio of destinations and flight frequency is conditional on the health situation and applicable ravel restrictions in the respective countries. Smartwings clients can reschedule their flight for free. Together with their flight tickets, passengers can also purchase travel insurance directly on the Smartwings website complete with coverage for the COVID-19 disease.

Stringent hygienic regulations apply on board of Smartwings Group aircraft. Airplane cabins undergo thorough disinfection before and after each flight. Airplanes are fitted with HEPA air filters that capture 99.97% of viruses and bacteria. Passengers must wear nose and mouth protection when boarding Smartwings Group aircraft.
