The safety manager should act as the focal point and be responsible for the development, administration and maintenance of an effective safety management system.

Responsibilities:

• facilitate hazard identification, risk analysis and management
• monitor the implementation of actions taken to mitigate risks, as listed in the safety action plan
• provide periodic reports on safety performance;
• ensure maintenance of safety management documentation
• ensure that there is safety management training available and that it meets acceptable standards
• provide advice on safety matters
• ensure initiation and follow-up of internal occurrence / accident investigations.

Required Qualifications:

• Master's degree from an accredited university or college /high school diploma with relevant experience
• Safety Management System experience in Aviation Engineering/Technology
• This role requires significant experience in the Engineering/Technology & Product Safety
• Fluent Czech language
• Fluent English language
• Commission Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014 (Part 145)
• ICAO standards and European requirements and provisions on safety management

Competencies:

• basic safety investigation techniques;
• human factors in aviation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Strong interpersonal and leadership & negotiate & influencing skills
• Knowledge of Risk Management techniques

Nice to have:

Relevant and documented work experience, preferably in a comparable position, in:

• management systems including compliance monitoring systems and safety management
• risk management
